Adam Novak
I currently live between SF & NYC and am starting a company. I grew up in Nashville and previously studied at USC.
What I'm interested in:
- Startups. I started a clothing brand in high school. Launched a bunch of failed startups in college. Joined 222 as their founding design engineer. Recently quit to start my own startup. You can follow along my journey here.
- Language learning. I taught myself proficient Korean while living on farms in South Korea. I now spend an hour a day learning Chinese & maintaining my Korean. After Chinese is Arabic.
- Adventures. I backpacked the world on a gap year, spent 3 months training at a Buddhist monastery, & biked across Europe. Plenty more to come...
- Responsible technology. I helped found Shift SC, the student org at USC examining how to mitigate the negative externalities of innovation. I've led a number of Digital Wellbeing Workshops to help students build a healthy relationship with their devices, and I conducted research on web platforms and misinformation as a fellow at the USC Korean Studies Institute.
- Hacky sack. I started hacky sack clubs at USC and Ravenwood High School to build community around the sport.
